About/Service Initiatives
Arts at the Beginning™Participating children's centers receive rotating collections of engaging visual and musical works of art, along with relevant picture books, toys, curriculum materials, samples of children's work, and ideas from the teachers who previously enjoyed this collection. Arts at the Beginning collections grow over time as the children's centers document and pass along their experiences and local art communities donate additional works.
Consider the positive outcomes— energized teachers, invigorating curriculum projects, interest-packed parent-child conversations—all supporting language and aesthetic development for children. Arts at the Beginning sparks imagination, increases creativity, promotes emergent literacy, and fosters social skills.
Preschools and child care centers benefit from new art education materials. They are motivated to engage with community artists in meaningful ways. Community arts audiences increase as children and families develop new appreciation for visual, music and performing arts through Arts at the Beginning collections.
Arts at the Beginning™ is a trademarked program of Legacy of Caring®
